A practical guide to shelf-life review for wholesale noodles, including production dates, remaining life, cartons, storage and SKU confirmation.
A 24-month shelf life can support long-distance distribution, but the number alone is not enough. Importers and wholesalers need to know which SKU the shelf life applies to, how the date is printed and how much usable life remains when the goods arrive.
Confirm shelf life by exact SKU
The current Noodle House Food catalog lists 24 months for Egg Noodle, Dried Noodles, Shrimp Noodle, Scallops Noodle, Fried Noodle, Shanghai Noodle, Cream Noodle, Amoy Flour Vermicelli, Amoy Noodles and Fine and White Plain Noodle.

Calculate remaining shelf life, not only total shelf life
Ask for the estimated production date, shipment date and transit time. Then add expected customs clearance and warehouse receiving time. A product with a long total shelf life can still create a problem if it is shipped late in its life cycle.
