How to Request an Accurate Noodle Quotation from China
Send a clearer noodle RFQ by specifying SKU, pack, cartons, trade term, destination, labeling, documents and private label requirements.
- A useful quotation request lets two suppliers quote the same product on the same basis. “Please send your best noodle price” is too broad because pack size, carton quantity, trade term and packaging can change the result.
1. Name the exact product
State whether you need Egg Noodle, Dried Noodles, Shrimp Noodle, Shanghai Noodle, Amoy Flour Vermicelli or another listed product. Noodle House Food's range is wheat-based; it does not currently list rice noodles or rice vermicelli.
If you are unsure, explain the intended channel and application: Asian grocery retail, foodservice, soup noodles, dry-tossed noodles or stir-fried noodles.
2. Specify the retail pack and carton
Use an existing catalog format or describe the required one. For example, the catalog lists Shrimp Noodle at 454 g per bag, 30 bags per carton, 48.3 × 31.1 × 27.9 cm and approximately 0.042 CBM. Shanghai Noodle has both 340 g and 227 g catalog formats.
When comparing offers, check that the unit weight and units per carton match.
3. Give quantities per SKU
State cartons per item rather than only the total order. The catalog reference MOQ is typically 100 cartons for standard products, but the final minimum depends on SKU, packaging and production arrangement.
For a mixed order, list every SKU and proposed carton quantity.
4. State the trade term and destination
If you need FOB, say whether you expect FOB Yantian or Shenzhen. For CFR or CIF, provide the destination port so current freight can be checked. Do not request a CIF price without a port.
5. Explain standard or private label packaging
For private label, provide target bag size, artwork status, languages, barcode requirements, carton marks and expected order volume. Printed packaging may have a different MOQ from standard catalog packaging.
6. List document requirements
Ask for the exact product specification, ingredients, allergens, shelf life, label files and the current originals of any market-specific documents you require. Do not assume that a catalog logo confirms current document validity.
7. Ask for a clear price basis
The quotation should state currency, trade term, unit, carton basis, validity and exclusions. Confirm whether tooling, artwork, samples, testing, labels or special documents are included.
